Potassium and Magnesium are put together in this formula because Potassium interacts in many of our body systems with Magnesium. In our bodies, we need to maintain proper levels of Sodium, or else we will be more at risk for heart disease, high blood pressure and cancer.  The way to do this is to make sure that our Potassium levels can balance our Sodium levels. Potassium is also crucial to: water balance and distribution, muscle and nerve cell function,  kidney and adrenal function, & the conversion of glucose to glycogen.

Nutritional Notes...Lack of Potassium may also be linked to fatigue. Without enough glycogen in one's system, there is nothing for the body to convert into usable energy, i.e. glucose. Glycogen is the "energy storage" component  of our body.
Did you know that when Magnesium is bound to Aspartate, it is much more easily absorbed AND it may fight fatigue? Aspartate feeds into the Krebs Cycle, the cycle which manufactures ATP (our chemical energy!).  Due to the fact that Aspartate is chelated to the Krebs cycle, it becomes inherently easier for the body to absorb.
