Amino acids –the building blocks of life

Amino acids provide the essential raw material that the body needs to build bone, organs, muscles and hormones. Each amino acid has a different function within the body. Some are used for the hormonal and immune systems, or to build muscle and connective tissue, while others function as precursors to important neurotransmitters in the brain. They are also used to repair tissue damage, build bone, form blood cells, and create antibodies.

Amino acids link together to form over 50,000 different proteins and 20,000 enzymes. The body makes these proteins by breaking down bulk protein from the food we eat into various amino acids and arranging them into thousands of different protein combinations that power the body's various activities.

There are exactly twenty amino acids used by the body in various different combinations. Each type of protein is composed of a different combination of amino acids – each tailored for a specific need. Eight aminos are known as 'essential' – because the body can't manufacture them – so they must be obtained from the food we eat. Twelve other aminos are known as 'non-essential' – because the body manufactures them on its own.

Nutritional science is discovering how important amino acids are for maintaining good health. AminoLogic is designed to provide a balanced spectrum of amino acids that complement each other and are readily absorbed by the body.

AminoLogic nourishes proper protein synthesis and:

  • Offers a balanced blend of aminos that are readily absorbed
  • Includes all the essential aminos that the body needs but can't produce itself
  • Furnishes a comprehensive array of amino acids for maintaining good health*
